The MECS SULFOX process is a highly energy efficient sulfuric acid technology used for cleaning waste gases containing sulfur compounds. The technology is based on the thermal and catalytic conversion of sulfur bearing compounds into sulfuric acid, producing a saleable product.
MECS SULFOX is suitable for applications where the waste gas, containing H2S and/or CS2, SO2, must be desulfurized.
