Most customers require a scrubber that will perform at least two, or all functions:
(1) quench incoming gas,
(2) remove acid gases,
(3) oxidize sulfites to sulfates,
(4) and eliminate particulate.
In many conventional scrubbers or simple caustic scrubbers, these four different functions occur in four different areas of the scrubber (or outside the scrubber).
The DynaWave® Wet Gas Scrubber is different from conventional scrubbers in that it uniquely handles all four of these functions in the same scrubber vessel -- three functions take place in an area known as the Froth Zone. The fourth function, oxidation, is achieved in-situ in the vessel sump. No other scrubber is capable of this performance.
This straightforward approach reduces both capital and operating costs. Most importantly, this approach allows for minimal equipment inside the vessel, making DynaWave® an extremely reliable scrubber.
